Excellent New Adobe Site

AdobeAirApps.com is a collection of Adobe Air Applications across the web and we categorize all the apps, making it easier for our users to find the special app they want.

We also add a rating to these apps to promote rankings amongst our
visitors. There’s no sign up need to rate the apps, we just ask that visitors rate the apps professionally. Don’t be a terd.

Our Collection is updated daily, so there’s always new apps to check out.

Are you affiliated with Adobe?

Not at all, we just love the style and uniqueness of Adobe Air Applications.

Are these strictly user submitted applcations?

Not at all, we spend a great deal of time finding new applications and rating them within our group. We submit new applications daily.

Can we submit ideas and feedback?

Of course. This will help us grow our website. You can use the Feedback tab to the left of your screen. We take feedback VERY seriously. If you want it, we want it.  http://www.adobeairapps.com/index.php

Computer, What Is WolframAlpha?

On Friday evening the much anticipated WolframAlpha launched publicly.  It is great fun to play around with, not only because it has some hilarious easter eggs, but because there is a renewed sense of exploration.  At least I found myself coming up with ever new queries to see what it knows (computes) and what it doesn’t.  For instance, here are two queries that show off the range of WolframAlpha:"

This weblog is among my favorites-the content is well written and displayed on a tumble-log by Bill Israel of  http://cubicle17.com/ This particular article is about The Kindle

"Not really surprised by what the Kindle DX is and is not. I did not expect color or touch as both are only at experimental stages for eInk displays. It is also not that surprising that Amazon is continuing to get the device out there in a direct-to-consumer model. This puts pressure on the NY Times and other newspaper publishers to figure out quickly how to subsidize that via a subscription. So I likely won’t be getting the unfettered connectivity and high quality browser I was hoping for. "Thursday, May 7, 2009  Albert Wenger

    About Mr Wenger

Albert combines over 10 years of entrepreneurial experience with an in-depth technology background. As an entrepreneur, he has founded or co-founded five companies, including a management consulting firm (in Germany), a hosted data analytics company, a technology subsidiary for Telebanc (now E*Tradebank), an early stage investment firm, and most recently (with his wife), DailyLit, a service for reading books by email or RSS. Albert also served as the president of del.icio.us through the company’s sale to Yahoo. His technology background goes back to winning the German national computer science competition at age 18. Albert graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College in economics and computer science and holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from MIT. He has managed technology projects for organizations as diverse as Tacoda (startup) and Telebanc (leading Internet bank).

Albert currently serves on the boards of Clickable, a platform for managing online advertising; and Maptuit, a provider of realtime navigation; he is a board observer at Etsy, an online marketplace for handmade goods. Albert is married with three kids and lives in Scarsdale, New York.
