Wouldn’t it be nice if we all reviewed the Great Books on Adaptive Blue-Glue?

I was born pretty lucky and my parents were able to afford a private school education for Myself My Brother and My Sister-One of the benefits I derived  was an introduction to the Great Books, The Adventures of Augie  March The Adventures of Augie March (1953) is a novel by Saul Bellow. It centers on the eponymous character who grows up during the Great Depression. This picaresque novel is an example of bildungsroman, tracing the development of an individual through a series of encounters, occupations and relationships from boyhood to manhood. USA By John Dos Passos -In 1912 he attended Harvard University. Following his graduation in 1916 he traveled to Spain to study art and architecture. With World War I raging in Europe and America not yet participating, Dos Passos volunteered in July 1917 for the S.S.U. 60 of the Norton-Harjes Ambulance Corps, along with friends e. e. cummings and Robert Hillyer. He worked as a driver in Paris and in north-central Italy.
By the late summer of 1918, he had completed a draft of his first novel. At the same time, he had to report for duty with the U.S. Army Medical Corps at Camp Crane in Pennsylvania. At war's end, he was stationed in Paris, where the U.S. Army Overseas Education Commission allowed him to study anthropology at the Sorbonne. A character in U.S.A. goes through virtually the same military career and stays in Paris after the war.The Forsyte SagaThe Forsyte Saga is a series of three novels and two interludes published between 1906 and 1921 by John Galsworthy. They chronicle the vicissitudes of the leading members of an upper-middle-class British family. Only a few generations removed from their farmer ancestors, the family members are keenly aware of their status as "new money". The main character, Soames Forsyte, sees himself as a "man of property," by virtue of his ability to accumulate material possessions—but this does not succeed in bringing him pleasure.
Separate sections of the saga, as well as the lengthy story in its entirety, have been adapted as motion pictures. The first book, The Man of Property, was adapted in 1949 by Hollywood as That Forsyte Woman, starring Greer Garson, Errol Flynn, Walter Pidgeon and Robert Young. The BBC also produced a popular mini-series in 1967. In 2002, Granada Television produced two series for the ITV network called The Forsyte Saga and The Forsyte Saga: To Let. The 1967 version inspired the popular Masterpiece Theatre television program, and the two Granada series made their runs in the US as part of that program.   If I were Professor of Liberal Arts lets say at Cooper Union-I might make a project deal with Adaptive Blue-Part of my course would be that Students install the Glue Toolbar on Firefox and a requirement is to add five of their favorite classics to the book section ! The they would have to write a review on all of their five choices the professor would then submit the essays to a panel of followers on Glue !  The benefit of this project is that people receiving a Tech Education would get a taste of LIberal Art’s-

I received a review copy of  The Blue Sweater: Bridging the Gap Between Rich and Poor in an Interconnected World

http://www.thebluesweater.com/ With A review copy it is always proper to pass the book on so after adding it to Adaptive Blue Glue toolbar- http://www.adaptiveblue.com/ I passed it on to  Laura a member of the Adaptive Blue Team-I mailed it today - Adaptive Blue is a great source for read's- and more-Glue works automatically as you browse popular sites
about books, music, movies, wines, restaurants, gadgets, stocks, actors, tv shows and other everyday things around the web. The Glue bar appears right on your current page to show you friends who looked at the same things and what they thought!
Many thanks to Seth Godin a supporter of the Acumen Find-http://sethgodin.typepad.com/

The Team at Adaptive Blue has some a staff of people that read so I am sure this book is in for a real Trip-
