Mariner Software – Macintosh OS X Spreadsheet, Word Processor & Macintosh Office
Post constructed using Mac Journal
Macworld Expo, San Francisco – January 8, 2009 – Mariner Software, developers and publishers of professional and personal software, announced today the acquisition of ReceiptWallet, the popular Mac OS X software that allows the user to scan, store and manage receipts and documents. The yet-to-be-renamed application, will make its public debut under the Mariner brand in the near future.
With ReceiptWallet, users scan receipts and other varieties of paperwork and view the data right on the screen, email it or simply save the scanned paperwork as PDFs. ReceiptWallet’s powerful search functionality helps users organize receipts and documents into collections, making paper copies redundant for routine tasks such as record-keeping and bookkeeping.
With ReceiptWallet one can:
• Organize digital copies of receipts and records
• Track expenses for tax purposes
• Create expense reports and manage business and personal expenses
• Create searchable PDF files for owner manuals or important documents
“As the world shifts to using less and less paper, adding ReceiptWallet to our product line just makes good sense,” said Michael Wray, President of Mariner Software. “Not only does ReceiptWallet help people organize their lives by going paperless, it has a huge upside in reducing the environmental impact of wasting paper.”
“I’ve developed ReceiptWallet for two years and have seen it evolve into one of the most popular digital filing applications on the market,” said Scott Gruby, Founder of ReceiptWallet. “We are anxious to bring ReceiptWallet to the next level and expose even more people to the product.”
Pricing and Availability
ReceiptWallet will be available, for sale and trial, on the Mariner Software web site in the near future. The shipping version will initially be offered in English and sell for $49.95USD ($44.95 download). Support for more languages is expected in the near future. ReceiptWallet requires Mac OS 10.4 or higher.
