Edelman Digital – Authenticities

I reb-logged a content creation this am by Steve Rubel !   It was regarding : Why Text Remains King of the Web I have been a reader all my life  I read everything I was always drawn to food writers and found many worth reading !   The internet has spawned a new breed of content creators I enjoy ! Steve Rubel,RichardEdleman, Fred Wilson, SethGodin,Gotham Gal,Louis Gray, Brogan,Dave Winer,Shel Israel Bill Israel,Andrew Badera and more ! I went to Detroit Country Day and had an English Teacher Allan Paul Springer yes he introduced us to the great reads like The Forsyte Saga is a series of three novels and two interludes published between 1906 and 1921 by John Galsworthy. They chronicle the vicissitudes of the leading members of an upper-middle-class British family. Only a few generations removed from their farmer ancestors, the family members are keenly aware of their status as “new money”. The main character, Soames Forsyte, sees himself as a “man of property,” by virtue of his ability to accumulate material possessions—but this does not succeed in bringing him pleasure.  Note Steve Ballmer was also a graduate of Detroit Country Day but I graduated in 1954 and was writing on Crane Crest with A Quill Pen- Detroit Country Day School (also known as DCDS, DCD, or Country Day) is a private, secular school located in Beverly Hills, Michigan, north of Detroit. DCDS was founded in Detroit in 1914, inspired by the Country Day School movement. In addition to the Beverly Hills main campus, which includes the Middle and Upper Schools, the school has Lower and Junior school campuses, both of which are located near Bloomfield Hills.,Firms like Edelman who employ people who can write  will be the people that make the Internet a real selling vehicle !  Hear are a few links to my favorite reads !  There is a new star on the content creation scene ! ” Gotham Gal !”  Bio Below

Congradulations to :  Chris Brogan

“I’m grateful to be mentioned in this ADWEEK article as being part of the “web elite,” and on balance, the article is interesting and informative, but I have issue with the confusion between what I’d qualify as blogger relations versus sponsored posts. I want to take a moment and clarify my perspective on this, in the hopes that we can talk about it more in ” JANUARY 13, 2009   Chris Brogan

About Gotham Gal

BIOGRAPHY

I have had 6 careers. Buyer at Macys, ran a company in the rag trade, dabbled in a few friends businesses, spearheaded sales of a start-up magazine/ezine/events company in Silicon Alley, chaired a non-profit organization focused on technology in inner city school (mostly high schools), sat on a few profit and non-profit boards, sit on the exec board of my kids school and the most important job – a full time mom.

I do yoga and spin to keep my self in shape – mentally and physically. I love to cook. Have dinner parties monthly. Presently, I’m teaching a jewish cooking class with my friend to 6th and 7th graders. My kids are food snobs.

Love to travel to new and interesting places – old and fun ones too!

I’ve gotten into collecting young emerging artists. Meeting the artists and watching their careers blossom is part of the fun. I try to get into the galleries at least once a month.

I am in a book club and have been a voracious reader my entire life.

I try hard to stay on the cutting edge. New restaurants, new music (love alternative music and always have), new fashions/trends etc., and giving my friends info on the latest store, website etc. Love the web!

My husband is my best friend. We have 3 kids who are terrific people. All and all, I’m a very lucky Gotham Gal.
