Micro Persuasion: Is the Google Cookie Tracking Everyone’s Surfing Habits?

If you read Mr Rubel you will understand the Value of Public Relation’s Firms especially when it comes to statistical analysis and content creation  !  Mr Rubel knows a dangling participle is not a gadjet hanging from your I-Pod In grammar, a dangling modifier attaches itself to a word different from the one the writer apparently meant. [1] It may be intended to modify the subject of a sentence, but due to word order seems to modify an object instead. When such modifiers are participles, they often appear at the beginnings of sentences. For instance, in the sentence, “Walking down Main Street, the trees were beautiful,” the “walking down” modifier seems to connect to “the trees” in the sentence, when on reflection it really connects to the invisible speaker of the sentence. He or she is the one walking down the street (and finding the trees beautiful). Thus, the modifier is hanging on nothing, therefore dangling.   I also know what dangling participle is because I went to Detroit Country Day  School this is also the High School that Mr Steve Ballmer graduated from , but being born in 1936 I was there long before him ! Steve Anthony Ballmer (born March 24, 1956) is an American businessman and has been the chief executive officer of Microsoft Corporation since January 2000.[2] Ballmer is the second person after Roberto Goizueta to become a billionaire in U.S. dollars based on stock options received as an employee of a corporation in which he was neither a founder nor a relative of a founder. In Forbes 2008 World’s Richest People ranking, Ballmer was ranked the 43rd richest person in the world, with an estimated wealth of $15 billion.       Detroit Country School  http://www.dcds.edu/ had excellent teachers and English Science and Math were accented !  Board of Trustees  dcds

I don’t ever like to see anyone fail, but I suppose success in the Digital Age has created a new set of Rules ! I have found to date a few solid efforts in the application category which I use !  Zemanta Twitter Adaptive Blue Glue Mac Journal and Evernote ! Louis Gray as well as Dave Winer http://www.scripting.com/ both give in my opinion the most honest and astute product reviews !  I feel that the most promising Firefox add on  is http://www.adaptiveblue.com/ and Zemanta  http://www.zemanta.com/ is a work of Semantic and  Technical Art ! I find myself using Nsyght a lot http://www.nsyght.com/ I may not be the average internet user since I am 72 years old with little or no Tech knowledge, if it is not easy to use I don’t use it ! I have found to use Twitter I  only follow a few people !   Fred Wilson.Vc Louis Gray Dave Winer Chris Brogan Andrew Badera  Guy Kawasaki Frank Eliason and Jay Rosen !  I also read Mr Rosen’s blog  PRESSTHINK

One of my Favorite blogs is  http://sethgodin.typepad.com/ The Creator Of Squidoo

and blogs by people mentioned above ! Micro Blogging is hard for me to use since I live in a world of complete thoughts some times it reminds me of New Age Music no beginning no end just a middle part .  Twitter  does give me data but I am not overly interested in Social Media or Tech and wish they would create other streams with the application Like A stream for Literature Art etc !

Content Matters: Five Questions for Fred Wilson

Clipart of bills and coins
Image via Wikipedia

This creative bit of content is a great read for people planning start-ups it might be titled how to avoid the [soup line] when you start a new Venture ! It was noted on Fred Wilson’s site-http://www.avc.com/

Barry Graubert writes the excellent Content Matters blog and he’s got an interview with me up there today. Fred Wilson

Here is one question and my answer:
CM: Historically, as the economy comes out of recession, it creates transformation and change. Which segments have the potential for transformation in an eventual recovery?
FW: Every industry that is based on knowledge or information or some other form of non-physical matter (atoms vs bits) is going to fundamentally transform and this downturn will be the darwinian forcing function. Think about energy and power systems, banking, media, education. They all have that aspect to them

Barry Graubart has spent the past 20 years applying technology to content to develop high value business-to-business information products.

Barry today serves as Vice President, Product Strategy & Business Development for Alacra, a leading content technology company, where his focus is on eCommerce and social media applications.

Previously, he served as EVP & Chief Marketing Officer for Leadership Directories, a content provider of biographical and organizational data.

Prior to Leadership Directories he spent four years in various roles with ClearForest, an emerging leader in the text analytics market. At ClearForest, he helped open the publishing and federal intelligence markets.

Previously, he held general management, product development and marketing roles with b2b content businesses including divisions of Primedia, Nelson Information (now Thomson Financial), Kaplan/Washington Post and McClatchy Newspapers.

Barry holds a B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Albany.

Barry sits on the Board of Directors of the Content Division of the Software and Information Industry Association and serves as chair of SMAC, its Social Media Action Committee

There is a great tune Coletrane used to play -  It was written a year after I was born ! It is an Evergreen!  This week we lost John Hoyer Updike he will now join the Great Evergreen’s of American Literature !  Last night Charlie Rose had some Literary Guru’s on  and they discussed John Hoyer Updike .  Since I was raised on The NYT The New Yorker and other great American Literature I  I got extremely melancholy knowing that with the exception of Adaptive Blue’s Glue  http://www.adaptiveblue.com/ , and Amazon very few of our media are promoting American Literary Arts ! Yes I consider the New York Times Literature, it still is  great read !  Fred wilson and his wife Gotham Gal tabbloid_2009-01-10_0901-gotham-gal3

support Literature and are very unselfish in sharing knowledge ! In this post on his Blog he explains how to generate revenue on a blog !  You have a choice to read or not to read !  Well Naomi is cooking my Eggbeaters and I hear a song from the Grill !  Put another nickel in, in the nickelodeon  all I want is loving you and Music Music Music !

Have You Met Miss Jones??” is a popular song.
The music was written by Richard Rodgers, the lyrics by Lorenz Hart. The song was written for the musical comedy I’d Rather Be Right and was published in 1937.
It featured on the soundtrack of the film Bridget Jones’s Diary as sung by Robbie Williams, and his cabaret covers concept album Swing When You’re Winning.
It was once covered by John Larkin, better known as Scatman John.
It has been speculated that the cycle of major third root movement in the song’s bridge was an inspiration for jazz musician John Coltrane, who developed a pattern of chord substitutions known as the “Coltrane changes” based on these chords. “Have You Met Miss Jones?” is cited as the only jazz standard incorporating this cycle of chords.
